The Phil Madsen Band

Fronted by one of New Zealand’s most captivating voices, The Phil Madsen Band delivers a standout live experience for corporate functions, gala dinners, and premier events.

"I’ve had the privilege of working with Craig, Cassandra, and the incredible Uno Loco team for over 20 years, and it’s always a pleasure to collaborate with people who share the same passion for delivering unforgettable events" - Phil Madsen

Described as “better than the original artist” by The 13th Floor for his standout performance in Eddie Rayner’s ENZO show with members of Split Enz, and “heart-rending” by Stuff, Phil Madsen is a seasoned performer whose voice, musicianship, and stage presence have seen him share the spotlight with global icons including Cher, Air Supply, Spandau Ballet, The Pointer Sisters, and Boyzlife (featuring members of Westlife and Boyzone).

Phil’s extensive career includes two Top 20 hits, a Top Male Vocalist Award from the NZ Variety Artists Club, and headline performances at some of New Zealand’s most iconic events - including the America’s Cup celebrations, Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park, and the SKYCITY Starlight Symphony.  He also performed internationally, including a private showcase at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas featuring finalists from America’s Got Talent - a career highlight on one of entertainment’s most iconic stages.

His solo albums Mr Yellow Tree and This World showcase his songwriting and production skills, while his single Dancing on the Moon earned an APRA Silver Scroll nomination.

From Rock Anthems to Dancefloor Hits

Whether it’s the anthems of Queen, the harmonies of The Eagles, the grooves of the Bee Gees, or the crowd-pleasing classics of Neil Diamond, Phil delivers each song with authenticity and power.

His setlist spans decades and styles - covering legends like Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Guns N’ Roses, Journey, Dire Straits, INXS, Cold Chisel, and Metallica, through to Tina Turner, Dua Lipa, and - in a moment of good-humoured self-awareness - even Britney Spears.

No two shows are the same. With a huge repertoire and a strong connection to the crowd, Phil adapts each performance to suit the event - switching gears from full-band rock to stripped-back acoustic, from nostalgic singalongs to high-energy dancefloor tracks.

It’s more than just a setlist - it’s a show that leaves a lasting impression.
